Chelsea Coach Frank Lampard has revealed that both Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta will not be ready to play Champions League clash against Bayern Munich next week, MySportDab reports.
Both Chelsea players suffered injuries in the FA Cup final defeaf to Arsenal on Saturday evening.
Azpilicueta got injured in the first half and was replaced by Andreas Christensen.
Meanwhile, Pulisic who scored the first goal of the game, suffered a hamstring problem.
Both players were almost reduced to tears as they were taken off the pitch.
Soaking about their injuries as shared by Chelsea’s official Twitter account, Frank Lampard said:
“About the injuries, Azpi and Pulisic have hamstring problems which need scans but won’t be fit for the next game,” the tweet confirmed.
“Pedro appears to have a dislocated shoulder but it’s not yet certain.”
However, Lampard also spoke about Chelsea’s defeat.
“We played very well for 10 or 15 minutes, scored a goal and created chances, were in control of the match,” Lampard added.
“But we can only blame ourselves after that in football terms.
‘We got less straightforward. We were slow on the ball, we played too many short passes. An FA Cup final needs better.
“We allowed Arsenal again into the match and from that point, it became very difficult. We can only blame ourselves for the result.”
