OFFICIAL: Dean Henderson Signs New Manchester United Contract Until 2025 (Details)

Manchester United backup Goalkeeper Dean Henderson has signed a new six year contract at the club until 2025, MySportDab reports.

Henderson will earn around £120,000 per week from the new contract.

The 23-year-old was busy training at Carrington before his call-up to the England squad.

However, United used the opportunity to reach an agreement over a new long-term contract.

The Red Devils decided to reward his progress after a fantastic season on loan at Sheffield United.

The new contract runs until June 2025 with the option for another year.

Speaking about the contract, Henderson said: ‘The road I have been on for the last five years has been great for my development and the perfect loan spell at Sheffield United was helpful.

‘This department at United is fantastic; there are top-level goalkeepers who have earned the respect and trust over the years, so i can’t wait to with them.

‘The faith that the club and the manager have shown in me with this contract is very important to me and will help my progress as a goalkeeper.

‘I’ll give everything to improve so that I can play many matches for this great club.

‘Now I am ready to join the England squad and prepare for the next season.’

MySportDab understands that Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Henderson to compete with David de Gea for the Goalkeeper slot next season.

However, they still have to discuss what opportunities Henderson can get next season with Sergio Romero also available.

Dean Henderson finds himself behind De Gea, who earns £360,000-per-week, even though United still have Champions League football next season.

Goalkeeper Sergio Romero also wants more playing time and could leave Manchester United amid interest from Premier League clubs.
