Juventus have started a new era by terminating the contracts of both Gonzalo Higuain and Sami Khedira, MySportDab reports.
New Coach Andrea Pirlo has now axed both players from his squad.
The Juventus legend was Maurizio Sarri’s replacement despite the fact he was appointed as the Under-23 team Coach nine days before.
Maurizio Sarri was sacked after Juventus crashed out of the Champions League in the last-16 round.
Pirlo is now expected to win the Champions League which both Maurizio Sarri and Max Allegri have failed.
Also, midfielder Blaise Matuidi has already left Juventus for MLS club Inter Miami.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Pirlo wants a new squad and has started by getting out the likes of Higuain and Khedira.
Juve will be happy to stop paying Higuain’s £6.7m annual wages amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Higuain scored only eight goals in 32 Serie A matches this season.
Meanwhile, Khedira’s season was affected by injury problems and he played only 12 games last season.
