Manchester United are now ready to submit a bid for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano this summer, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils have now made him their number one target after reaching an agreement to sign Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.

United Chief Ed Woodward spent most of the transfer window trying to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

However, United refused to pay the Bundesliga club’s £108m asking price and have now turned their attention to other players.

Manchester United are expected to announce the signing of Van de Beek in a €45m deal at Old Trafford this week.

Now, According to ESPN, United have identified Dayot Upamecano as the perfect player and are working to reach an agreement with RB Leipzig.

The 21-year-old young centre-back had a £54m release clause but that has changed after he signed a new three-year contract in July.

He impressed for RB Leipzig in the Champions League semi-finals and has attracted interest from various clubs across Europe.

MySportDab understands that Manchester United are confident they can sign Upamecano before the October 5th deadline.
