Messi and his father has come out to make a statement saying the player £700 million release clause was an error by laliga, MySportDab reports.
The player and his father have insisted that the release clause ended at the end of the 2019/2020 season.
It means he can leave for free to anywhere he wants to leave after last season’s campaign with Barcelona.
According to them, there is no existing £700 million release clause on the Lionel Messi contract as of now.
