Michy Batshuayi scored twice as Belgium thrash Iceland 5-1 in the Uefa Nations League as Axtel Wistel and Dries Mertens scored, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was much more competitive as both teams registered their names on the scoreboard.
Iceland opened the scoring as early as 11 minutes after Holmbert Aron Fridjonsson striker deflected past the goalkeeper.
Axtel Wistel pulled Belgium level in the 13th minutes from a stunning goal which made it 1-1.
As the match progressed, Michy Batshuayi got his first goal for the game in the 17th minute to make it 2-1.
The first half ended with Belgium 2-1 Iceland as the Belgians were more superior over their opponent.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes was a mouth watering experience as three goals were scored for the home side.
Napoli’s striker Dries Mertens made it 3-1 in the 50th minute into the second half of the game.
Belgium was running riot as Michy Batshuayi got his brace from a nice finish in the 69th minute.
The scoreline turn 4-1 with Iceland unable to make anything happen for themselves in the match.
