Two late goals from Rashford and Greenwood ensured Man United advance to the next round of the Carabao Cup with a 3-0 win over Luton Town, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was a disappointing one for Man United who couldn’t score from an open play but from a penalty.
The home side Luton Town also gave a good account of themselves as the Red Devils struggled to make things happen.
It was an end to end game but the away side had better control of the ball possessions in the encounter.
It took the Old Trafford side 44 minutes to break the deadlock as Juan Mata converted from the penalty spot to make it 1-0.
The first half ended Luton Town 0-1 Man United as Solskjaer’s side headed for the break with the lead.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes was the same ball game as the lower league side proved to strong to get past.
The game progressed with no goal recorded as chances were created mostly by Man United who failed to convert.
Luton Town had more defending to do as the pressure kept coming wave by wave from their opponent.
They also did manage to scrap through few opportunities which their finishing wasn’t good enough to result to a goal.
Second half substitute Marcus Rashford made it 2-0 in the 88th minutes after coming into the game.
