The 29-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich which is more expected of them to cash in on him.
He is expected to leave the club this summer or they face the risk of losing him for free after his contract ends.
Liverpool were favourite after been heavily linked with a move for the former Barcelona player.
Although no agreement has been reached so far as it is still possible for any other team to sign him.
