RB Leipzig Defender Dayot Upamecano has confirmed talks with other clubs about a potential transfer amid Manchester United transfer links, MySportDab reports.
But, Upamecano insists that he is committed to RB Leipzig for now.
Manchester United have been linked with signing Dayot Upamecano in recent weeks and was also a target for Arsenal.
The 21-year-old was impressive in RB Leipzig’s run to reach the Champions League semi-final in the 2019-20 season.
In July, Upamecano signed a new contract at Leipzig keeping him at the Bundesliga club till 2023.
Despite his contract, the rumours of a potential move to Manchester United have not stopped.
Speaking to Telefoot, Upamecano spoke about his future and revealed that he was permitted to speak to clubs about a potential transfer.
“Right now, I am with RB Leipzig but yes I was able to talk with some clubs,” he said.
“As I have said before, I am focused here at Leipzig and I will still play for Leipzig. Maybe, we’ll see what happens.
“Anything can happen in football.”
RB Leipzig have already started the new Bundesliga season last week with a good win.
Last week, Manchester United suffered a 3-1 loss against Crystal Palace in their first Premier League match of the season.
Both defenders Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire were largely criticised for their performances in the match.
If Manchester United could sign Dayot Upamecano, they would have a very good player to partner Harry Maguire.
