Chelsea bid for Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has been accepted by the Ligue 1 club with the shot stopper set for medical, MySportDab reports.
The Blues first bid was rejected before they launched a second bid which has now been accepted.
Edouard Mendy is about to be the next player to be signed by Chelsea in this summer transfer window.
The Blues recently confirmed the signing of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported £72 million.
This was before they sealed double moves for Malang Saar And Thiago Silva who both came in as free agents.
The also welcomed both Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech who both joined before the end of last season.
And now Edouard Mendy is next in line to be announced as a Chelsea player with him ready for medical.
It was reported that the shot stopper already agreed on personal terms with those at Stamford Bridge.
The club will now focus on completing a move for West Ham United Declan Rice who was a former Academy player.
The deal is rumored to be worth £80 million which have been tagged on him by the Hammers.
The deal looks likely to happen but not at the region of that amount being asked by West Ham.
