Chelsea Coach Frank Lampard has provided an update about the fitness of Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic ahead of tomorrow’s match, MySportDab reports.
Frank Lampard has confirmed Christian Pulisic is likely to play his first match of the new season.
The American has missed the first few weeks of the new season after suffering a hamstring injury in the FA Cup Final last season.
Christian Pulisic returned for pre-season, but suffered another injury problem in training before the Premier League restart.
Frank Lampard hasn’t been able to upon all his quality players in attack so far in the new season.
Chelsea face Crystal Palace on Saturday, looking to win their second match in the new Premier League season.
In the last match, Chelsea had to settle for a draw in a 3-3 match against West Brom.
However, Frank Lampard has confirmed that Pulisic will be in the squad for the Crystal Palace game.
“Yes, Pulisic is back in the squad for tomorrow,” Lampard said.
“He can’t start, but it’s nice to have him back.“
Meanwhile, Hakim Ziyech is not yet fully fit to return and play for Chelsea this weekend but could be available after the upcoming International break.
About Hakim Ziyech, Lampard said: “Ziyech is close but not enough to be on the bench tomorrow.”
Frank Lampard also spoke about his forward players in general like Timo Werner, Pulisic, Ziyech, and Kai Havertz.
There are questions about how Lampard will use all of his attacking players in a Line-up.
“I think they will together bring the best out of themselves,” he added.
“It’s a shame we can’t use them. Hakim will bring a different energy for us. I am excited to be fit. I have the idea of where I want to play.”
However, Chelsea are likely to be active in the final days of transfer window before Monday’s October 5th deadline.
A number of Chelsea players could leave the club, although Framk ampard refused to speak about the rumours.
