Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has now tested positive for coronavirus, MySportDab reports.
Ronaldo will now miss Portugal’s Nations League next match against Sweden on Wednesday evening.
The Juventus player is now in self-isolation isolation.
On Monday night, The 35-year-old was present at a dinner with his Portuguese team-mates.
The squad did not use the social distancing guidelines but other players in the Portugal squad have tested negative.
A statement from the Portugal National Team said: “Cristiano Ronaldo was released from National Team duty after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will miss the game to face Sweden.
“Ronaldo is currently doing well, without any symptoms, and now in isolation.”
After Ronaldo tested positive on Tuesday, the other Portugal players underwent new tests anf tested negative.
Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes of the last Nations League match against France.
Now, Portugal are without the former Real Madrid play for the match against Sweden in Lisbon, Portugal.
Portugal are currently top of Group 3, with two wins and a draw.
