Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised two players, Bruno Fernandes and Axel Tuanzebe after the 2-1 Champions League win against PSG in France on Tuesday, MySportDab reports.
The Red Devils secured all three points thanks to Marcus Rashford’s late goal.
The win means United have started their European campaign with a victory unexpected.
Manchester United started the match against PSG as underdogs with less chance of winning the game.
But, Solskjaer’s team produced a fantastic defensive display to secure all three points.
Bruno Fernandes and Rashford scored at the Parc des Princes.
Fernandes scored in the first half, after converting a penalty despite missing his first attempt.
Some moments later, Anthony Martial scored an own-goal which made it 1-1.
But the Red Devils secured the win thanks to Rashford’s strike late into the match in France.
Speaking after the match, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised Tuanzebe and Bruno Fernandes.
“It has a different feeling from our last game we won here, it’s now at the start of the group stage but we’ve won against a tough team,” said the 47-year-old.
“Last match, it was a knockout round and it was fantastic, this is not the same without the fans but it’s still great and we deserved the win.
“When you travel to face a team with Neymar and Mbappe you have to defend very well and your goalkeeper must always be ready.
“Axel is a top quality defender and his first match in 10 months was a sign of the quality he has.
“Bruno missed two penalties but he won’t stop taking them, he has showed true focus and character.
“We need 10 points to reach the next round so next week’s match is very important. There are so many matches ahead.”
Manchester United face Chelsea next in the Premier League this weekend.
