Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford scored a hat-trick in his club’s 5-0 Champions League win against RB Leipzig last night, MySportDab reports.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now praised Rashford for his substitute performance in the match.
Rashford scored a shocking hat-trick as the Red Devils secured all three points.
And it was a good team performance from the Red Devils, and now have two wins from two matches in the Champions League.
United go the lead in the first half to make it 1-0 via Mason Greenwood, the England youngster scored after good pass from Paul Pogba.
Then, Marcus Rashford came on as a substitute in the 2nd half.
The England international scored two quick goals for Manchester United, and gave Anthony Martial the ball to score a penalty.
And, despite giving away the penalty, the 22-year-old still completed his hat-trick.
It was a fantastic performance from United who, were considered unlikely to reach the Champions League next round.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Marcus Rashford played well after coming on but it was all about the team.
“This is the performance we expect from subs.
“What a great performance by the team. Leipzig are a tough, high press team, so we had to be far better.
“We decided to rest some players because the season is long enough for everyone to play.
“This group is going great. The more quality you have the more you get the result.”
Speaking after the match, Marcus Rashford told reporters: Meanwhile, “I think the Coach wanted me to light up the match tempo. That for us means more attack.
“There were spaces there. We gave Bruno and Paul on the ball. We looked very dangerous throughout the match and that we could score every time we attacked.
“It was a fantastic team performance.
“The guys who started the match did well and the substitutes also.
“We can’t ask for more than that this in terms of the attitude and the desire to kill the game off.”
