Manchester United have retained their interest in signing Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho, MySportDab reports.
Sancho was United’s top target in the summer and although a move failed, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed free agent Edinson Cavani to his attacking options.
But United’s interest in Haaland has now been renewed despite the fact he only signed for Borussia Dortmund last season.
According to The Athletic, Manchester United know that the 20-year-old has a £68m release clause that can be triggered in 2022 in his Dortmund contract.
The Athletic claim that even though Manchester United refused to accept the demands of agent of Mino Raiola, Haaland’s agent, United are still interested in Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho.
The relationship between Haaland and Solskjaer is still strong, and United could try to sign him before 2022 for a higher fee if his performances continue.

His agent Raiola has had difficult times in the past with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and United, over the future of Paul Pogba.
Meanwhile, despite refusing to meet Dortmund’s £108m asking price for Sancho, reaching an agreement next summer is still at the top of Ed Woodward’s plans.
Despite Cavani been given the icon shirt number at Old Trafford, United are still interested in signing the 20-year-old.
MySportDab understands that a transfer deal for both Sancho and Haaland, with the add-ons included, could rise to £176m.
However, whether Dortmund would do business with United after this summer Jadon Saga is another concern.
United also missed out on the signing of Birmingham City’s Jude Bellingham to Borussia Dortmund.
Bellingham has already been used regularly in the Borussia Dortmund first team matches since the start of the new season.
Meanwhile, Haaland scored his fifth Bundesliga goal in five matches as Dortmund secured a 3-0 win over Derby rivals Schalke on Saturday.
Sancho is yet to score in the Bundesliga this season but he provided the assist for Haaland’s goal last weekend.
