Two key Manchester United players in form of Edinson Cavani and Harry Maguire did not fly out to Paris on Monday, MySportDab reports.
The squad left Manchester on Monday afternoon ahead of their Champions League group stage match against Paris Saint-Germain in France.
It remains unclear whether Cavani would travel to the French capital alone but he was not seen alongside the rest of his teammates at Manchester Airport today.
Captain Harry Maguire was also missing from the travelling team to face PSG on Tuesday night.
Cavani signed for the club on transfer deadline day earlier in October but is yet to make his debut for United due to a compulsory two-week quarantine period.
On Sunday, He trained with his new United team-mates for the first time ahead of Tuesday’s game at PSG.
The game at Paris would have given Cavani the chance to face his former club.
The 33-year-old is PSG’s all-time record goalscorer with 200 career goals at the club.
But now it appears his Manchester United debut might be delayed further for unknown reasons.
Since March, Cavani has not played a competitive match and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears keen to get him back on the ball.
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United Staffs weren’t expecting Cavani to arrive at Manchester Airport for the flight to France.
