Chelsea now have triple injury concerns ahead of their next Premier League match on Saturday, MySportDab reports.

The Blues will play without Thaigo Silva, Christian Pulisic, and Kai Havertz.

Frank Lampard’s side are determined to continue their fine form after the international break.

Chelsea have now found the right team and defence thanks to summer signing goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Like other EPL clubs, Chelsea have their own injury problems due to the hectic match schedule.

However, Frank Lampard has one of the strongest squad depth in the Premier League.

According to MySportDab sources, Pulisic and Havertz won’t play this weekend against Newcastle.

Pulisic has not played for Chelsea since pulling out of the starting XI before the Burnley game due to a hamstring problem in the warm-up.

The United States international will remain unavailable for two or three more weeks.

Meanwhile, Havertz can not play because he tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the Champions League match against Rennes.

The German midfielder stayed at home in London during the international break for his period of isolation.

He was missed by his national team, who succumbed to a shocking 6-0 defeat to Spain after wins against Czech Republic and Ukraine.

However, Havertz has now been given the approval to resume training, but his fitness levels are not good enough for the Newcastle game.

Due to this, the former Bayer Leverkusen play is likely to miss the match this weekend.

Thiago Silva will not return back England until Thursday after playing in Brazil’s 2-0 win against Uruguay.

Frank Lampard already has plans to monitor the 36-year-old veteran closely and he could miss the match against the Magpies.

Chelsea Positive News

The only positive news for Chelsea is that Ben Chilwell has now returned to England training ahead of the Nations League match today against Iceland.

The left-back went off in the first half of the 2-0 defeat against Belgium last week Sunday, after some pain im his lower back.

Now, Chilwell is expected to be fit for Saturday’s game at Newcastle and is unlikely to play tonight for England to be on a safer side.
