Christian Pulisic suffered another injury just before Chelsea’s Premier League match against Burnley and Coach Frank Lampard has provided an update, MySportDab reports.
Teammate Mason Mount sent a message to Christian Pulisic after the hamstring injury over the weekend.
However, Frank Lampard has provided a worrying update about the USA international.
Pulisic was due to play in Saturday’s game against Burnley but had to be dropped after the warm-up, and was replaced by Timo Werner.
Werner scored during the Brighton game as Chelsea moved into the Premier League Top four.
Meanwhile, Mason Mount was impressive at Turf Moor, and provided the assist for Zouma’s goal from a corner.
After the match, the 21-year-old wished Pulisic a fast recovery, and dedicated the win to his team-mate.
“I felt sorry for him, he felt something in his hamstring during the warm up so hopefully he returns soon,” Mount said.
“He is a top player. We have dedicated the win to him. Timo came in and performed well like the other players after a tough week.”
Pulisic is now set to be out for more than three weeks, and miss Premier League games against Sheffield United, Tottenham, Newcastle, Leeds and Everton.
Now, Frank Lampard hopes his injury is not too serious.
“He’s played only three match, we’ve done everything possible to manage him and it’s a small problem in his hamstring so we’ll have to see what happens in the next 24 hours,” said the Chelsea manager.
“It’s a minor problem that but definitely not right to go into a match with that.
“Hopefully it’s not for long, we’re talking about some weeks.”
Pulisic missed over two months of football last season due to a groin injury and suffered another hamstring injury in the FA Cup final against Arsenal.
Chelsea’s play next at home against Rennes in the Champions League on Wednesday.
On Saturday, The Blues host Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge for Premier League football.
