Diogo Jota was on target as Liverpool played a 1-1 draw with Brighton And Hove Albion after a late penalty goal form Pascal Gross, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was dramatic as the home side missed a penalty while Mo Salah’s goal was ruled out by VAR.
Brighton And Hove Albion had a fair half which they had chances to make something count after being awarded a penalty in the 18th minute but Maupay played it wide.
Liverpool thought they took the lead when Mohamed Salah scored in the 34th minute but unfortunately, the goal was reviewed by VAR and chopped off.
The first half ended with Brighton And Hove Albion 0-0 Liverpool as they both headed for the break with a goalless draw.
Second Half Report
The second half was much more different from the first as the away side gained full control and scored in the encounter.
Liverpool took the lead in the 60th minute through a clever finish from a Portuguese player Diogo Jota who smashed it in to make it 1-0.
Brighton And Hove Albion gave it all they had to stage an early comeback but the Reds defenders weren’t letting anything go past them.
Sadio Mane’s 84th minute goal was once again chopped off by VAR before a late dramatic penalty which Pascal Gross converted to make it 1-1.
