Jadon Sancho has now responded to rumours that his poor form is due to the endless Manchester United transfer links, MySportDab reports.

He was quick to dismiss the idea that his dip in form is due to his failed Manchester United transfer last summer.

Sancho scored the second goal for England as they defeated the Republic of Ireland on Thursday.

The wonderkid has endured a tough start to the new Bundesliga season for Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho has failed to score in six Bundesliga games so far, having impressed last season with 17 goals and 17 assists in 32 league matches.

His fantastic form last season earned him attention from clubs across Europe, with Manchester United desperate to sign him.

The Red Devils made him their top target before the summer transfer window opened, and tried with multiple bids to sign him.

However, Dortmund were refused to sell him for anything below his €120million price tag.

Sancho was also willing to stay at Dortmund and refused try to force a move.

After the transfer window closed, Sancho has not been able to re capture his form from last season.

He’s scored just twice, one goal in the Champions League and DFB Pokal.

German newspapers has heavily criticised the youngster, with some blaming the failure to sign for United this summer as the reason for his poor form.

But speaking after his goal in England’s 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland on Thursday, he dismissed that idea.

Sancho said: “No, Not at all.

“I think every player expresses a little dip of form in their career, I’m going through that right now.

“It’s just about how i bounce back, I’m very happy to have managers who have faith in me and keep playing me.”

Sancho added: “I don’t think there’s been too much expectation from me.

“I expect too much from myself personally.

“When I play I try to score and assist, and help the team.

“A few matches have gone and I wasn’t scoring or assisting, but today I scored for England.”
