The new shot stopper has been prolific which has made it hard for Frank Lampard to give Kepa Arrizabalaga a chance to play.
There is no hopes of the 26 year old getting back to his former number one spot as his days is long gone.
So far Mendy has kept more clean sheets than Kepa did kept during his time as number one which was mixed with so many errors.
