Manchester United face Everton on Wednesday in a highly anticipated Carabao Cup quarter-final match, MySportDab reports.
Ahead of the match at Goodison Park on Wednesday, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on injuries, and hinted if Bruno Fernandes will play or not.
The Red Devils have some fitness issues with some players due to the busy December schedule.
In the last match, United won 6-2 against long rivals Leeds on Sunday, and there was no signs of injury concerns.
However, Solskjaer is likely to rotate his team against Everton with three games in seven days after the Christmas day on December 25th.
Manchester United travel to play against top side Leicester on Boxing Day December 26th.
After Leicester, they host Wolves on December 29 and Aston Villa on New Year’s Day at Old Trafford.
“Greenwood is fit enough to play,” Solksjaer revealed.
“He did not play in the last game. Yes, Luke went off due to an injury so that was necessary.
“Edinson has been unavailable due to an injury for sometime, we need him back, and Bruno is one that needs protection.
“It wasn’t to be for Mason Vs Leeds and he will be in the squad unless there’s a change in the next few days.”
Solskjaer also issued a new update on Jesse Lingard, who is likely to play against Everton on Wednesday night.
“Lingard is in the squad. He’s worked very hard in training,” Solskjaer added.
“it’s unfortunate he’s had to isolate for a few times. He was in close contact with a COVID patient, without having it himself.
“He’s been unlucky and away from the training ground a few times.
“He’s working hard and will no doubt be involved on Wednesday.”
