Manchester United Coach Solskjaer BLASTS Ander Herrera Over Fred Red Card In 3-1 PSG Loss

Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now slammed former player Ander Herrera after his side’s 3-1 loss against PSG, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils suffered their fourth loss of the season at Old Trafford on a night where Fred got a red card.

A Brace from Neymar and Marquinhos goal gave the Ligue 1 Champions all three points.

Manchester United went into the game against PSG with the plan to seal their place in the knockout stages.

But, on a disappointing night, Solskjaer’s team fell short.

PSG took the lead through Neymar in the first half, who blasted his shot past David De Gea from close range.

Manchester United levelled through Marcus Rashford but PSG took the lead again when Marquinhos struck with just over 20 minutes left in the second half.

Fred was then shown a red card, with the Brazilian picking up his second yellow card for a tackle on former player Herrera.

Now, Solskjaer has taken a swipe at Herrera, saying: “I believe Fred was very lucky to stay on when I saw the referee going to look at the VAR Monitor in the first half.

“The second yellow card is far from it and Ander Herrera knows that very well.”

Solskjaer was asked on whether he thought about replacing Fred at half time, with the 27-year-old already on a yellow card.

And he responded: “Yeah… Fred played really well.

“We talked about being calm and on your feet.”

About Marcus Rashford’s shoulder injury, he added: “It’s a shoulder injury.

“Let’s see how he can recover. Hopefully he can play in the West Ham game.”
