Bayern Munich might be the team who finally gets to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano as they now lead the race for the signature of the Frenchman, MySportDab reports.
Chelsea and Man United were both the top teams interested in the defender which have been put on a huge doubt with the Bavarians involvement.
Deals between Bayern Munich and other German Bundesliga teams have always gone smoothly which is another reason why they might sign Upamecano.
RB Leipzig star could leave in summer for €40m if a deal can be reached between any club who is desperate to land him.
Bayern Munich are still the favourites to land Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig, according to reports from TZ.
Chelsea are the latest team to show interest in the centre-back, but Bayern are still leading the race to complete the move this January.
Upamecano is contracted to Leipzig until 2023 but he has a clause that will allow him to leave in the summer for €40 million (£36m/$49m).
Man United on their other hand don’t look likely to make the move as they won’t be going into the transfer market for new players.
The race is now between Chelsea and Bayern Munich as we awaits who will act fast and complete the move.
