Chelsea have now announced the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as the new club manager, MySportDab reports.
Tuchel was confirmed just ahead of the match on Wednesday evening against Wolves.
On Monday, Frank Lampard was sacked by Chelsea due to a poor form in the Premier League.
There were so many expectations on Frank Lampard this season after spending over £200million on new signings in the summer.
Chelsea had started the season well, with a nine-game unbeaten run which moved them top of the table in November.
But results have turned back in recent weeks and over the festive period.
The Blues lost back-to-back matches against Everton and Wolves.
Also, defeats to Arsenal, Leicester, and Manchester City also affected their chances of finishing in the top-four this season.
And the Leicester loss last week was the final game for Roman Abramovich to give Lampard a chance at redemption.
Tuchel was approached by Chelsea months before Frank Lampard was sacked with plans in place already to replace him.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund man has now taken over the job at Chelsea.
Tuchel was previously linked with the Chelsea job and almost joined Chelsea before Antonio Conte was given the job.
