Frank Lampard has now released a statement after he was officially sacked by Chelsea on Monday, MySportDab reports.

Lampard was told to leave after a poor run of form in the Premier League.

Chelsea will now appoint Thomas Tuchel as their next head coach anytime soon.

Under Lampard, Chelsea lost five of their last eight Premier League games in recent weeks.

However, owner Roman Abramovich decided it was time to fire the club Legend.

Lampard did not say anything until 8pm on Monday Monday, when he released a following statement on Instagram.

He said: “It was a great privilege and honour to manage Chelsea football club, a club that will remain a big part of my life.

“Firstly, I want to thank the fans for their support over the last 18 months.

“When I took the job I understood the challenges ahead in a difficult time for the club.

“I am proud of our achievements together, and I am proud of the academy players that are now in the first team and doing well.

“They are no doubt the real future of the club.

“I am disappointed for not being given enough time this season to put the club back on track.

“I want to thank Mr Abramovich, players, the board, my coaching staffs and everyone at the club for their dedication, and hard work, especially in these difficult times.

“I wish the team and Chelsea success for the future.”

Lampard was appointed Chelsea head coach in 2019 after Maurizio Sarri left the club.

The Blues Legend helped the club to a fourth-placed finish in his first season but leaves with Chelsea ninth in the table.
