Both Lionel Messi and Griezmann scoreded as Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1 in a game which saw Jordi Alba conceding an own goal, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was all about Barca who dominated the game and was able to score one goal which gave some lights to the 45 minutes.
It took Barcelona just 20 minutes to get the opener which was scored by Lionel Messi who finished off from a direct free kick which he curled in to give his side the lead.
Athletic Bilbao had some fine chances going forward but they couldnt make it count as their opponent remained focus and clear off any threats thrown at them.
The first half ended with Barcelona 1-0 Athletic Bilabao as they both headed for the break with advantage to the home side who were good.
Second Half Report
The second half wasn’t bad as the home side scored another goal which the 45 minutes was full of good display of attacking football until the end.
Athletic Bilbao had things under control as they push forward while keeping their back clean of any sort of attack which many was thrown at the early stages as Jordi Alba scored an own goal in the 49th minutes to make it 1-1.
Barcelona was able to get another goal and this time it was Griezmann who raced through to finish off in the 74th minutes after a nice buildup play saw Oscar Mingueza assisted the Frenchman to make it 2-1.
The match ended with Barcelona 2-1 Athletic Bilbao as Koeman side recorded another crucial victory which helped them move second above Real Madrid.
