Man City edged out Chelsea at Stamford Bridge 3-1 with goals coming from Gundogan alongside Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne as Callum Hudson-Odoi scored a consolation, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was a feast of goals in the first half of the encounter as the Citizens scored three goals in a half which saw them dominated while the home side were left chasing shadows of their opponent.
Gundogan gave Man City the lead in the 18th minute after a good buildup play saw them started from scratch and way up until the German International struck in the back of the net to make it 1-0.
Phil Foden made it 2-0 in the 21st minutes after an outstanding goal from the young England International who was one of the most performing player on the pitch of play in the encounter.
Chelsea failed to deal with an error as they were hit by a counter attack by Pep Guardiola’s side who neatly scored to make it 3-0 after a first strike hit the post before Kevin de Bruyne scored the goal.
The first half ended with Chelsea 0-3 Man City as they both headed for the break with Pep Guardiola’s side with the lead after an outstanding display in the 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The second half was evenly matched with both teams giving a good account of themselves but the home side managed to score a consolation goa which came very late in the encounter.
Man City continued from where they left off with a huge lead in their hands after an outstanding first half display from the side who were dominant in the game as it progressed with the home team creating more chances.
Chelsea continued to fight hard in the game and it finally paid off but it was very late in the game as Callum Hudson-Odoi managed to score a consolation goal which helped Blues to make the scoreline 1-3.
The match finally ended with Chelsea 1-3 Man City as the away side cruised home with a comfortable victory at Stamford Brige which put Frank Lampard under a very big pressure with poor run of results.
