Timo Werner and Kai Havertz finally broke their goal drought as their scored for Chelsea alongside Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi to help them beat Morecambe 4-0 in the Emirates FA Cup, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half kicked off with the Blues bossing and controlling the 45 minutes which saw them scored twice from two outstanding goals with them showing class and hunger following their poor run of form.
Chelsea took the lead in the 18th minute after a great buildup play saw Callum Hudson-Odoi providing the assist which saw Birthday boy Mason Mount pulled through and score to make it 1-0 in the encounter.
Morecambe had more pressure on them as they were pegged back throughout the duration of the half which saw them concede a second goal 2-0 in the 45th minute which saw scored by Timo Werner who received to assist from Kai Havertz.
The first half ended with Chelsea 2-0 Morecambe as they both headed for the break with an advantage to the Blues who had today control of the game and were too good.
Second Half Report
The second half was more of the same as it began from where it left in the first 45 minutes which saw Frank Lampard’s side taking full advantage of the lower League side.
Callum Hudson-Odoi extended Chelsea lead to 3-0 in the 49th minute which came as a result of Hakim Ziyech wizardry which saw the Moroccan threw in the pass which met the England International who made it 3-0 with a fine finish.
Morecambe were much organized as the game progressed to the few minutes remaining while they kept soaking the pressure and clearing their back pretty well as they push forward a little bit.
Kai Havertz completed the goal scoring after making an assist in the game which came through Cesar Azpilicueta who was able to deliver the ball which landed for the German international who made it 4-0 in the 86th minute.
The match ended with Chelsea 4-0 Morecambe as Frank Lampard side advanced to the next round of the Emirates FA Cup.
