Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes is very much determined to win a trophy at the club this season, MySportDab reports.
Fernandes revealed that his mentality is to win and to win only trophies for Manchester United.
The Red Devils are on track to win their first Premier League title after eight years since 2013.
United made their intentions clear this season by getting past Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Fernandes watched the match from the bench as Mohamed Salah scored twice and Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford responded for United.
The Portuguese man was then brought on in the second half and 12 minutes after he scored the winning goal.
The 26-year-old has now scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists in 29 matches this season.
Despite being out of the Champions League, United have developed and currently sit top of the Premier League table after 19 matches.
But, Manchester City can go ahead of Untied with a win in their extra match.
With Chelsea and Tottenham failing to be consistent, there is a sign that the two teams from Manchester will fight for the trophy like in 2011-12.
City won the league on goal difference in the 2011-12 season.
United’s last defeat was in a Carabao Cup semi-final match against City.
However, Fernandes has insisted that nothing less than glory will be enough as United try to win their first title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retired.
“I came here because I knew that the club wants to win everything, and my mentality and football way is about winning,” Fernandes said.
“So you must be confident. You must have faith in trust your team-mates, trust yourself, and you must believe.
“And I will believe until it’s not possible anymore, you know? Like when I see someone get the trophy before me then I will (have) lost my belief.
“I always said before. I hate to lose. For me, losing ain’t normal so my mentality is there.
“Even when I played with my friends, brother, my neighbours, I never want to lose. I always want to win, this will always be my mentality for the rest of my life.”
United finished 33 points behind Liverpool last season but the win at Old Trafford was their first win against Liverpool since March 2018.
Manchester United return to action against Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
