Manchester City have confirmed three new positive CoronaVirus results at the club, MySportDab reports.
One Club staff, Scott Carson, and Cole Palmer have now tested positive for coronavirus, and Manchester City’s cases rises to 17.
The new positive results shows the poor situation at Manchester City against Covid-19.
During the festive period, veteran Goalkeeper Ederson, a midfielder and staff members joined six others to result positive CoronaVirus results.
The latest news is before Pep Guardiola’s side face rivals Manchester United in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
A club statement read: ‘Manchester City can now officially confirm that a staff, players Scott Carson, and Cole Palmer have now tested positive for COVID-19.
“They will now observe a period of self-isolation in accordance with UK Government rules on quarantine.
‘We wish Scott, Cole and our other colleagues a speedy recovery ahead of their return.’
Manchester City’s festive period was severely affected by the Covid-19 outbreak at the squad.
Before the boxing day match against Newcastle, Kyle Walker and Gabriel Jesus were the first players to test positive for the virus.
City’s training ground was closed for some after the previous round of testing.
Walker and Jesus are likely to come out of quarantine on Tuesday but they might not play at Old Trafford.
Manchester City Women have also announced four new positive tests after some players trip to Dubai.
