Borussia Dortmund are now more likely to sell their star players due to the financial situation at the moment, MySportDab reports.
BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke’s latest explosive comments shows that the club will sell this summer.
Watzke has revealed that Dortmund will ‘no longer rule anything out’ in terms of transfers this summer.
This is because the CoronaVirus pandemic is still affecting the finances of clubs around the world.
His new comments is a massive boost for Manchester United in their plans to sign Jadon Sancho.
Last summer, United failed to sign Sancho before after the Bundesliga club demanded the surprise £108million fee.
However, their position about the fee has now changed ahead of the next summer transfer window.
‘During a pandemic, I can’t rule anything out,’ he told Handelsblatt.
‘But it is not just like that. Above all, financial balance all around is that we are stable economically and have a strong team on the field.
‘Asking banks for loan just to avoid selling a player is not our way.’
The Interest from United in strengthening their options for the right-wing is no secret.
Watzke’s comments that Dortmund would not fall into a financial crisis appears to be good news for clubs interested in their players.
MySportDab understands that that Sancho’s asking price is now £88m, a figure which Manchester United may refuse to pay due to his poor start this season.
Sancho has played 29 matches across all competitions this season with 10 goals scored and 15 assists.
