Borussia Dortmund have now agreed to reduce their previous asking price for winger Jadon Sancho, MySportDab reports.

Manchester United can sign Sancho for £88m this summer after Dortmund refused to sell last summer.

Jadon was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s no.1 transfer target in August, but it never happened.

However, they signed Edinson Cavani instead and he has impressed so far at Old Trafford.

Manchester United tried to sign Sancho in 2017, when Jose Mourinho was still at the club.

But they missed out as the 20-year-old decided to join Borussia Dortmund instead and is now a first team player for the Bundesliga club.

Last summer, the Red Devils tried again.

Solskjaer told chief Ed Woodward that he felt Sancho would be key to his plans, a player capable of shining with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Mason Greenwood in attack.

But the Red Devils failed to pay the massive fee.

United were absolutely unwilling to pay Dortmund’s £108m enormous asking price.

Now, According to German Newspaper BILD, Dortmund have returned the player’s asking price a little.

They are ready to accept £88m for their prized asset, and their change of decisions could be due to financial difficulties.

Dortmund are prepared to record lose of £66m due to the coronavirus pandemic and, by selling Sancho would make life easier.

Now, it remans unknown whether United will go back in for Sancho again this summer.

Solskjaer is delighted with his attacking options, while the club believe they have future world stars in Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo.

However, the 47-year-old manager’s focus may have now shifted.

Solskjaer is a massive admirer of Sancho’s team-mate at Dortmund Erling Haaland.

Haaland rejected United in 2019 but there is not bad relationship between the club and him.

Manchester United also want a long-term partner for Harry Maguire in defence.

Real Madrid and RB Leipzig players such as Sergio Ramos, and Dayot Upamecano are all being considered.
