Lionel Messi was on target twice alongside Trincao as Barcelona beat Deportivo Alaves 5-1 to retain their second spot on the League table, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the match was all about Barca who dominated and controlled the game as they scored twice.
Barcelona opened the goal scoring in the 29th minute as Trincao scored a stunner which made it 1-0 after a great buildup play from the home team.
Deportivo Alaves couldn’t get a grip of the game as Lionel Messi scored another goal which was ruled out by VAR but he made sure he scored a late one which made it 2-0.
The first half ended with Barcelona 2-0 Deportivo Alaves as they both headed for the break with advantage to the home side.
Second Half Report
The second half was more of the same but this time the away side showed some class and got a goal for themselves.
Deportivo Alaves pulled one back in the 50th minute through Luis Rioja who lashed in a beauty to make it 2-1 for his side before Trincao made it 3-1 in the 74th minute.
Barcelona increased the lead to 4-1 through Lionel Messi in the 75th minutes before Firpo scored another one to make it 5-1 in the 80th minutes.
The match ended with Barcelona 5-1 Deportivo Alaves as the home side claimed a huge victory and move second.
