Olivier Giroud and Timo Werner both scored as Chelsea beat Newcastle United 2-0 in the Premier League to move into 4th position, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was fantastic from the home side who were clinical as they scored twice and put up an outstanding display.
It took Chelsea 31 minutes to get the opener which came through Olivier Giroud who came in and the Frenchman wasted no time in making it 1-0.
Newcastle United failed to organize themselves as Timo Werner scored in the 39th minute which was his first after a very long time without scoring a goal as he made it 2-0.
The first half ended with Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle United as they both headed for the first half break which was a good.
Second Half Report
The second half was evenly matched with the two sides going after each other with a good display of attacking football.
Newcastle United held on to their ground as they did not let anything go past them despite the loads of attacks thrown at them.
Chelsea had already done enough harm for the visitors to come back into the game as it progressed.
The match ended with Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle United as the Blues sealed three points and move up the table to fourth.
