Cristiano Ronaldo failed to shine as Juventus lost 2-1 against Porto away from home in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was evenly matched but a moment of brilliance was all the home side needed to score one goal.
Mehdi Taremi scored in the 2nd minutes of the encounter to give Porto an early lead which came after a great attack that ended up at the back of the net to make it 1-0.
Juventus did everything possible as the game progressed but all they couldn’t come up with was close opportunities that didn’t end up inside the net.
The first half of the match ended with Porto 1-0 Juventus as they both headed for the break with an advantage over the home side.
Second Half Report
The second half was much of the same as we saw some glaring opportunities in the early minutes of the 45 minutes.
Moussa Marega doubled the lead for Porto in the 47th minute as they looked to be cruising with the second goal coming to make it 2-0.
Juventus pulled one back in the 82nd minute through Federico Chiesa who was able to convert from a good position to make it 2-1.
The match ended with Porto 2-1 Juventus as the home side escaped with a narrow lead ahead of the upcoming second leg replay.
