Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha has now advised Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah to join Barcelona, MySportDab reports.

Liverpool have not impressed this season after their title winning season last year with multiple injuries.

The Reds started the new season full of confidence after winning the first top flight league title after waiting for 30 years.

Last season, Salah scored 19 goals as Liverpool won the Premier League title and they even strengthened the squad by signing Diogo Jota and Thiago Alcantara.

They started the new season very well with three consecutives victories against Leeds United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

But things have gone bad since the injuries started results with multiple poor defensive performances.

Van Dijk and Joe Gomez were ruled out for the rest of the season while others like Jordan Henderson, Thiago, Fabinho, Keita, and Joel Matip also picked up injuries.

Their hopes of retaining the Premier League have now derailed in recent weeks with four consecutive Premier league defeats.

Despie their poor form of recent, Salah is still the top Goalscorer in the Premier League so far this season.

Theee is still a decision to be made about the future of the Egypt international with his contract set to expire in two years.

Salah has been linked with a move to Spain before, and he did not rule out the transfer when asked.

However, Okocha believes this is the right time for Salah to leave and join Barcelona should they try to sign him this summer.

“If it’s possible join Barcelona, I would advise Salah to go,” Okocha told ONTime Sports.

“His energy at Liverpool has run out.

“The situation is not good at Liverpool, and Salah must leave the Premier League at some point.”

Despite Salah’s remarkable stats since he joined Liverpool, he’s not recognised as one of the best players in world football.
