Man Utd Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Warns David De Gea After Everton Blunders

Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned David de Gea that he is not untouchable in the first team Lineup, MySportDab reports.

This comes after De Gea’s late blunder in the Everton draw a few days ago.

United conceded two goals in the second half at Old Trafford and then another a last-minute goal as it finished 3-3 against Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

De Gea was criticised by fans and pundits for his part in Everton’s first goal and he also made a late attempt to stop Dominic Calvert-Lewin from scoring the third.

Dean Henderson is likely to start next for United’s FA Cup match against West Ham at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Asked about De Gea’s position, Solskjaer was asked said: ‘Every player must earn his place in the team. We’re a squad with different competitions and it applies to every player in the team.’

Solskjaer also added that it was disappointing that Everton had only three shots on target and scored all three goals.

Calvert-Lewin’s equaliser was similar to the goal De Gea conceded to RB Leipzig’s Justin Kluivert in United’s 3-2 defeat in the Champions League.

At that time, Paul Scholes said: ‘He was afraid he would get hurt, it’s poor.’

Now, Gary Neville was also critical of De Gea for not doing enough in his challenge to stop Calvert-Lewin as he scored after a 95th-minute.

Manchester United must now focus and prepare for the FA Cup match against West Ham United.
