Manchester United have added two new quality players to their 2020-21 season UEFA Europa League squad, MySportDab reports.
Solskjaer has added both Phil Jones and Amad diallo ahead of United’s last-32 match against Real Sociedad.
The Norwegian revealed on Monday that he planned to add Jones to the list even though he’s last match was January of 2020.
The English defender played in the 6-1 FA Cup win at Tranmere Rovers in 2020 but required surgery on a knee injury.
However, fans are more excited about the inclusion of Diallo, the 18-year-old wonderkid.
The winger signed from Atalanta, after his first-team breakthrough last season.
Manchester United could end up paying £35m if the performance-related bonuses do go as planned.
Diallo has yet to make his first team debut for Solskjaer but he played for Under 23s on Saturday, and scored twice in a 6-3 victory against Liverpool.
He played as a substitute for Atalanta in the Serie A and the Champions League earlier this season.
While United’s title dreams are back after a shocking 9-0 rout of Southampton, they must now focus again on the Europa League.
The Red Devils already crashed out of the Champions League in December and then got a draw against La Liga Club Real Sociedad.
The first leg of the match will be played in Spain, on February 18th and with the second leg at Old Trafford on February 25th.
