AC Milan are now ready to sign Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori permanently after a successful loan spell in italy, MySportDab reports.
Tomori has impressed AC Milan this season and the Serie A club want to do everything possible to keep him at the San Siro.
Tomori joined Milan in the January transfer window, after struggling for more playing time under Frank Lampard.
Chelsea and AC Milan have a loan agreement that includes an option to buy, but Milan want to negotiate a lower fee at the end of the season.
AC Milan’s sporting director Paolo Maldini has revealed that the clause was “too high.”
He said:”Tomori is a talented player and we have a buy-option there.
“The price is too high for us. We will make a decision at the end of this season and discuss with the Chelsea board.”
Now, AC Milan Vice-president Franco Baresi has revealed that they will “do everything” to sign Tomori permanently.
Speaking to Italian Newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Baresi said: “We’ll do everything possible to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
“There are two months left until the end of the season, and it’s not a decision for us to just make.
“Tomori is showing himself his talent with us here.
“He is clearly not afraid of playing in a new league.
“He has the potential to become a great champion.
“I hope he can meet these expectations.”
