Two late goals from Gundogan and Kevin de Bruyne ensured Man City move on to the semi final of the Emirates FA Cup with a 2-0 win over Everton, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It wasn’t a good first half encounter from the two sides who failed to score any goal despite the amount of opportunities created.
Everton were solid in making sure they didn’t allow their defence be penetrated by the Citizens who dominated the game.
Man City had more of the ball but couldn’t make anything happen as all their threats was easily dealt with by the home side for the game.
The match progressed without a goal as the first half of the encounter ended with Everton 0-0 Man City as they both headed for the break with a goalless scoreline.
Second Half Report
The second half of the encounter started out slowly for the two sides until the last few minutes which goals came in.
Man City continued with their dominance and ball control but they couldn’t result it into becoming a goal for themselves.
Everton had things under control until they lost concentration which Gundogan capitalized and gave his side a 1-0 lead in the 84th minute.
The game progressed with another goal in favor of the away side which came in the 91st minutes through Kevin de Bruyne who made it 2-0.
The match finally ended with Everton 0-2 Man City as Pep Guardiola’s side progressed to the Semi Final of the Emirates FA Cup.
