Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho scored a brace as Leicester City beat Man United 3-1 in the Emirates FA Cup quarter final to book a date with Southampton, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was entertaining from both sides who scored one goal each as we saw some good display of football.
Leicester City opened the goal scoring in the 24th minute of the game after a bad back pass from Fred saw Kelechi Iheanacho stealing the ball and beat Dean Henderson to make it 1-0.
Mason Greenwood didn’t take long to put things back on level terms as he scored an outstanding goal in the 38th minute to make it 1-1 for Man United.
The game progressed without a goal from both sides as the first half ended with Leicester City 1-1 Man United as they both headed for the break with a tie.
Second Half Report
It was a more eventful second half encounter in which more goals came in which the Red Devils were side that didn’t make anything happen.
Yuri Tielemans scored in the 52nd minute of the game which gave his side a 2-1 lead against Man United who were reckless in defending the goal.
Leicester City increased their lead further to 3-1 after Kelechi Iheanacho bagged his brace for the encounter which came in the 78th minute.
The game entered inside the last few minutes which it was already far gone for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to make a comeback in the match.
It ended with Leicester City 3-1 Man United as the Red Devils crashed out of the Emirates FA Cup which the Foxes will go up against Southampton in the semi final.
