Victor Osimhen alongside Ogenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu scored as Super Eagles of Nigeria beat Lesotho 3-0 in their last game in the AFCON qualifiers, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was all about the home side dominating play while they created more chances and scored one goal.
Lesotho had things under control in the early stages of the encounter as they were able to get ride of all attempts on their goal which Osimhen scored but was canceled.
Nigeria soon took the much needed lead when Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen raced through and finish off with an outstanding positioning to make it 1-0 in the 23rd minute.
The game progressed without another goal coming in the game as the Super Eagles dominated play all through.
The first half of the encounter finally came to an end with Nigeria 1-0 Lesotho as they both headed for the break with an advantage to the home side.
Second Half Report
The second half of the encounter was more of the same with the home side entertaining the Lagos fans who came out to support the team.
Ogenekaro Etebo doubled the lead in the 50th minute after a nice buildup play was the midfielder converting to make it 2-0 in favor of Nigeria who was ruthless in the match.
Lesotho couldn’t make a statement like they did in the first leg of the encounter which they scored two goal from a 4-2 defeat.
Paul Onuachu made it 3-0 in the 83rd minute of the game after a stunning finish which put the game to bed for the Super Eagles.
The match came to an end with Nigeria 3-0 Lesotho as the home side claimed three points to round off their AFCON qualifiers.
