Manchester United are now ready to reward Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a new £9m per year contract to keep him at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.
The Norwegian manager will enter into the final year of his contract later this month.
Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho back in December 2018.
United have improved significantly under Solskjaer this season across all competitions.
The Red Devils are currently second in the Premier League after the recent 2-0 win against Manchester City.
According to The Daily Mirror, Solskjaer will now be rewarded with a contract extension and a payrise to his £7m salary.
MySportDab understands that the new contract for Solskjaer will be finalised in the coming weeks.
United have recently made a number of announcements to the club’s hierarchy.
John Murtough is Manchester United’s new football director, Darren Fletcher is the new technical director.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was heavily involved in formulating the new hierarchy structure at Old Trafford.
Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward has praised United’s progress this season under Solskjaer.
He said: ‘The progress by Ole this season is clear and it makes us confident about the future on and off the pitch.’
Woodward believe Solskjaer has now restored the United’s DNA, which is focused on bringing in young talents while playing attacking football.
Manchester United are still yet to win a trophy under Solskjaer but they still have a chance this season in the FA Cup and Europa League.
United are currently 17 points behind Manchester City in the Premier League with two matches.
