There is a new update about AC Milan Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s injury ahead of next week’s match against Manchester United, MySportDab reports.
Many fans were already preparing for the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Old Trafford next week as AC Milan face Manchester United in the Europa League.
As we all know, The Swede won the Europa League during his time at United under Jose Mourinho.
According to MySportDab sources, Ibrahimovic will now miss his chance to play again Old Trafford next week after he was ruled out for three weeks due to a thigh injury.
He suffered the injury in the recent 2-1 win against Roma on Sunday, and was replaced in the second half.
Ibrahimovic will now miss AC Milan’s next four matches.
The 39-year-old will also miss Serie A matches against Udinese, Hellas Verona and Napoli.
His injury will be checked again in 10 days, but he could remain unavailable for more than four weeks.
That means he could also miss the chance to face United in the 2nd leg, and would be a massive blow to Milan’s hopes of a trophy this season.
Zlatan has been in brilliant form this season for AC Milan with 14 goals in 15 Serie A matches.
His absence for next week’s game gives Manchester United a better chance of getting past AC Milan.
In 2019, Ibrahimovic rejoined AC Milan on a free transfer on an initial six-month contract deal.
However, AC Milan decided to extend his contract as he became the oldest player to score ten goals in a Serie A season since the 1950’s.
