Manchester United Coach Solskjaer REACTS After FA Cup Exit!

Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has blamed fatigue for his team’s FA Cup exit at Leicester City on Sunday, MySportDab reports.

Solskjaer’s only hope of winning a trophy this season is in the Europa League since he became Manchester United Coach.

Leicester dominated the match and Kelechi Iheancho scored twice, with Youri Tielemans also on the score sheet.

Mason Greenwood equalised for United in the first half but they did not do enough to get more goals.

It means United must now win the Europa League to win a trophy this season.

However, Solskjaer believes his players are tired and that’s why they did not play well against Leicester City.

He said: “We failed to perform tonight but i understand why. This players have been fantastic over the last three to four months.

“We played almost every three days and continued on a great run. It finally affected us today. Thursday night was crucial for us in Milan and drained us physically. We failed to show the extra confidence today.

“We tried to start well because sometimes you can get that boost and confidence if you score the first goal early.

“We’ve players that have played so many matches and some haven’t really had much football.

“We failed to do enough against a tough team.”

Solskjaer also revealed that he is the only one that know the situation and fitness levels of the players he decided not to start against Leicester City.

United fans were surprised that Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, and Edinson Cavani were on the bench.

Solskjaer added: “I would have started the same team but the changes were necessary.

“We were aware that Paul wouldn’t go beyond an hour and I don’t think there’s anything i would have done differently. What happens behind the scenes remains unknown.”
