Man City edged out Aston Villa 2-1 with goals from Phil Foden and Rodri as both teams had a man sent off each, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
A superb first half display from the two sides ensured goals were scored on both ends as one red card was shown to a player.
Aston Villa set the ball rolling when they took a shocking lead with just 1 minute played which came through McGinn to make it 1-0.
Man City dominated things until Phil Foden leveled things 1-1 in the 22nd minute as he teamed up with Bernardo Silva who provided the assist.
Rodri increased the lead in the 40th minute as the away side made it 2-0 with an assist once again coming from Bernardo Silva.
John Stones was shown a late red card in the 44th minute after a rash tackle saw the England International sent off by the referee.
The first half of the encounter ended with Aston Villa 1-2 Man City as they both heard for the break with advantage to the away side.
Second Half Report
The second half of the encounter wasn’t that good with no goal to report despite the number of opportunities.
Man City were less impressive as they had to deal with one man down in the game which saw the home side pressing in the second 45.
Things got worst for Aston Villa as they also saw Matt Cash being sent off for a second yellow which the game balanced to 10 man each.
The game progressed without anything to talk about as it ended with Aston Villa 1-2 Man City which sees the away side take a a step closer to winning the League title.
