Manchester United are ready to terminate Goalkeeper David de Gea’s contract at the end of the season, MySportDab reports.
The Red Devils will compensate De Gea with a big pay-off to end his Old Trafford contract early.
So, Dean Henderson would officially be Manchester United’s first choice goal-keeper.
According to The Mirror, United are ready to sell/let De Gea leave at the end of the season.
United want to get rid of his eye-watering £350,000-a-week wages this summer.
However, De Gea still has two years left to run on his contract.
If Manchester United terminate his contract, they would have to pay de Gea a substantial pay-out to leave Old Trafford early.
He was once regarded as Manchester United’s best player, and remains the club’s highest paid player.
De Gea’s form in recent seasons has led to serious criticism.
Dean Henderson arrived back at Old Trafford for this season after a successful loan spell at Sheffield United last season.
The Young Goalkeeper signed a six-year £120,000-a-week contract in August 2020, and Solskjaer is ready to make him the number one Goalkeeper.
The 24-year-old got his chance to impress in de Gea’s absence after the Spaniard welcomed a child into his family.
During that time, Henderson kept three Premier League three clean sheets, although he made an error that led to AC Milan’s goal in the Europa League.
Three other Manchester United senior keepers are expected to leave at the end of the season.
Argentine Sergio Romero will leave as his contract expires at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, third choice Goalkeepers Lee Grant and Joel Pereira, will become free agents at the end of the season.
