Chelsea set to hold talks for a new contract for Thiago Silva and Thomas Tuchel with the Champions League final set to go down tonight, MySportDab reports.
The defender and the manager have done well enough which they are currently looking at giving them a new deal ahead of next season.
Thomas Tuchel who signed an 18-month deal will be set to get a long-term contract after meeting the target set for him while Thiago Silva will get a one-year extension.
Chelsea takes on Manchester City later tonight in the Uefa Champions League final which they made it through after beating Real Madrid.
Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to banish last season’s nightmare of losing 1-0 against Bayern Munich during his time as Paris Saint-Germain manager.
Thiago Silva on the other hand suffered the same nightmare too as he was the captain of the team during that night of defeat.
They both will be looking to get their hands on the Champions League trophy tonight as they take on Pep Guardiola’s team.
Regardless of the result, Thomas Tuchel and Thiago Silva will be getting their new contract as the club is pleased with their performance this season.
Chelsea will also be looking into offering new contract to players like Antonio Rudiger, Jorginho and possibly NGolo Kante who has been fantastic.
