Barcelona Women thrashed Chelsea in the Champions League final by 4-0 which saw them claimed the title, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It wasn’t a good first half encounter for Emma Hayes’s side who were torn apart by their opponent who scored four goals.
Barcelona Women opened the goal scoring in the 1st minutes after pressuring their opponent before Melanie Leupolz scored an own goal to make it 1-0.
Chelsea was very poor as the second goal came in the 14th minute as Alexia Putellas converted from the penalty stop to make it 2-0.
Aitana Bonmati extended the lead to 3-0 in the 21st minutes after an amazing buildup play saw the Spanish side increasing their lead against a wasteful team.
They weren’t done as Hansen made it 4-0 in the 36th minute as they continued to torment and rip apart the English side who couldn’t stop them from scoring.
The first half of the encounter ended with Barcelona 4-0 Chelsea as the women teams both headed for the break with an advantage over to the Spanish side.
Second Half Report
The second half was much better with it being evenly matched in the early stages as they both go head to head against each other.
Chelsea Women were good in defending in the early minutes of the second half which saw them being able to deal with the threats in attacks against them.
Barcelona goalkeeper was so good as she denied Pernille Harder who almost pulled one back for the English side in the encounter.
The game progressed without anything coming from both teams who created more opportunities but couldn’t convert any of them.
The match finally came to an end with Chelsea Women 0-4 Barcelona Women as Barca won the UEFA Champions League final with a clean victory.
